So I really suck at this whole keeping up to date with my blog, but hey at least I'm trying. The last time I posted was in March and not a whole lot has changed since then.. I finished all my finals and am now out of university for the summer! I managed to pass all my courses (thank the lord) and have a decent average so far! I know I want to be a doctor, but recently I have also been looking in to what it takes to become a dietitian, UBC has a program there that sounds super interesting to me, so as of right now my plan is to see how second year goes at UVIC and if it's too tough I may just change programs and go to UBC. Hopefully not though.
Speaking of second year, I also need to find a place to live for September. Me and Alexandra are considering just living together in a two bedroom apartment but we already agreed to share a house with four other girls so we're still trying to decide what to do and how to tell them we've changed our minds.
Now that I'm out of school for the summer I have been working lots, and I LOVE my job! I know it;s just a simple cashier job but I have so much fun everyday and really love all the customers that come through and the staff that I work with. Next week I even get to be in the Lake Days parade apparently! We have also been building a soap box derby car for the soap box race that takes place during Lake Days.
Since I've been home I've been able to see a lot more of my friends that I haven't seen since September and it's been really nice. It's weird though how everyone is growing up and doing their own thing, and how much friends have changed since high school.
One thing I wish I had the opportunity to do is travel. A lot of my friends have been to tropical places or Europe and the farthest I've ever been is California. It's okay though because I know my time will come soon. I just need some money (that doesn't go towards school) and I'll be off.
I have to say I'm extremely proud of myself for completing my first year of university.. I was able to adjust to the extremely heavy workload that pertains to the sciences all while being enrolled in the hardest Calculus & Physics classes and maintaining a part time job. I also feel that I was able to see my family and friends from home enough.
In general, I'm really happy at where I am today and look forward to what this summer is going to bring!

She's like a song you wanna sing along to
Hola!
Nothing really new in my life since my last post, just thought I'd try to keep up with things again. Some exciting news though: starting in May I will be working back at the LCCG :) I used to work there as a cashier and loved it so I'm super excited to be going back and to be almost full-time.
That's about all I have to say for now. I'm currently laying in my bed after a long day of classes & homework. Gotta wake up early for work!

In 3 words I can say what I've learned about life: it goes on
So I always forget I have this blog.. Even though no one reads it, it's kind of nice to just get everything out there and come back a year later and see how I was doing.
Anyways, not much has changed in my life lately, I'm still in school.. we have exactly one more month of classes until finals start! Eeek! School has been going good for me up until now so I hope I can stay on track until summer comes. As for summer, I hope to be working back at the grocery store that I used to work at. Things are looking good for that!
Ohh, one exciting thing: I got a tattoo! I decided to get it over reading break and love it so much :)
So anyways, I'm home for the weekend and thought I would check my blog out. I've learned a lot of things during my first year at university, but I would say that the most important thing that I've learned is not to make people your number one priority over yourself if they're not willing to do the same for you. This has happened to me twice during this school year, and I have come to the conclusion that I need to take some 'me' time and not focus on boys but to focus on getting good grades for the next couple months.
After that.... SUMMERTIME! And I could not be more excited!

No one ever said it would be easy, they just promised it'd be worth it
I guess studying isn't so bad if you have good music and Christmas lights on... Is it December 18th yet?!

Country must be country wide
Wow, so I completely forgot I even had this blog! I guess the last time I posted was in April, and boy has a lot changed since then... You could honestly say that life has turned upside down, then back to right side up since then.
Sooo, what have a accomplished since April? I graduated and received my double dogwood diploma, had some family troubles that thankfully worked themselves out. Had a kick ass summer hanging out with friends and meeting new people. Went to Toronto.. and now I'm currently in my first year of university!
University is BY FAR the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. That doesn't go to say I don't love it though. It has been a huge adjustment. Not only am I moved out and living with one of my best friends but I have also had to adapt to the amount of homework that needs to be done every week.
Also, I just turned 18 on Friday!
Overall, I'm still loving life, you just gotta remember to appreciate every single moment.
ps- Everyone needs a little country :)

Hello April
I know it's been awhile since I last wrote and honestly I had every intention to post but just kept forgetting with how busy things are lately. I'm still loving the single life and have this feeling of contentment around me all the time now. As for things getting busier.. yesterday was the first field hockey practice of the year for the U10 team I'm helping coach. Also yesterday was the dress rehearsal for the fashion show my school is putting on. Since I'm one of the models I went out on Sunday to get fitted at one of the local shops being featured in the show. I'm extremely excited not just to get my hair and make-up done and get an amazing outfit but to show off on stage and bond with the grad class.
Speaking of grad, it's coming up much, much faster than I'd ever thought possible! I still have to get my dress tailored and buy accessories, etc.
Anyways, life is still good. As I type this now I can look out my window and catch a view of the lake. On a parting note I've found another philosophy for life to add to my other favorites: life is too short to spend time on things that don't make you happy.
